Alia International Hospital organized an awareness campaign for breast cancer detection in cooperation with The Gate Mall in Aqeelah

Alia International Hospital celebrated the International Breast cancer awareness campaign as part of the world wide campaign that is held. The awareness campaign aims to increase knowledge about this that affects both sexes and to provide the necessary support to raise awareness of its importance and preventive measures First of its kind self-examination booth Alia International Hospital team also created for this occasion the first-of-its-kind self-examination booth with a specialized nursing team training the BSE-Braest Self Examination method to anyone who wants learn the same. Alia International Hospital was keen to adhere to the safety conditions imposed to avoid infection with the Corona virus, Covid 19, as it sterilized the self-examination room before and after entering any person, with a glass barrier separating the competent nurse and the person who wishes to learn the method of self-examination. Alia International Hospital's Marketing Department Team attended this campaign in collaboration with The Gate Mall, Kuwait Magic Mall, Ooredoo Communications Company, Hamra Mall, and Spark Women's Club, in presence of our Honorable General Manager and Chairman, Dr. Alia Al-Saadoun.

Alia International Hospital celebrated the International Pharmacists Day, on Sep 25, 2021. The marketing team organized the celebration inside the hospital, in the presence of General Manager Dr. Alia Al-Saadoun, Chief Medical officer Dr. Anwar Al-Saadoun, we appreciated their tremendous efforts during the pandemic crisis and as to thank them, we distributed shields, certificates of appreciation and valuable gifts . The head of the pharmacy department at the hospital, Dr. Nermin Adel Muhammad, explained the importance of this day for the attendees and for each patient, which aims to raise the profile of the pharmacist and show the active and vital role of pharmacists in improving overall health care, and educating the community about the contributions of pharmacists in discovering appropriate medicines, and developing the effectiveness of appropriate medicines, as well as the pharmacist's role in formulating patient treatment policies and ensuring the safe and effective use of medication. During the event Alia Hospital experienced pharmacist answered some enquiries of the attendees, provide medication advice, and provide guidance for those wishing to study in pharmacy and related science. At the end of the celebration, General Manager, Dr. Alia Al-Saadoun, thanked all those who contributed to organize the International pharmacist day.

The management of Alia International Hospital honored the head of the National Center for Training Health Personnel at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi, Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Affairs, and the Vice President of the National Center for Training of Health Personnel, Dr. Adela Ahmed Al-Babtain, a consultant gynecologist and obstetrician. The honor was given after the National Center for Training of Health Personnel trained the medical staff of Alia International Hospital on “newborn resuscitation and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation” We appreciate the Ministry of Health’s keenness to raise the scientific and technical level of private and public hospitals, under the patronage of Sheikh Basil Al-Sabah, Minister of Health and the supervision of both Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Affairs and Head of the National Center for Training of Health Personnel, and Dr. Adela Ahmed Al-Babtain, Vice President of the National Center for Training of Health Personnel. This honor programe was attended by Dr. Ahmed Al-Najjar, Consultant Internal Medicine at Alia International Hospital, Sarah Al-Otaibi, Manager of Marketing at Alia International Hospital, and Sahar Mahmoud, the clinical nursing instructor. They distributed commemorative shields as an expression of their gratitude for the efforts made by the Center in training the nursing staff in Alia International Hospital.

Under the sponsorship of Alia International Hospital - Symbol of Care - the Public Authority for Sports initiated it’s awareness campaign for school and university students as well as special needs under the title “Together for their health” on Thursday 30 September 2021 in the PAS headquarters in Rigai. And that was during the press conference that was held in the Public Authority for Sports headquarters at 11:00 a.m. with the participation of the Director of Department of General Awareness, Suaad Hakim and the Head of Women’s Sports Department, Maraheb Al Shammari and the Head of General Health Awareness Department, Meshary Al Dhafiri. The commencement of the campaign, which consisted of 11 government sectors, was announced, those sectors were: Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, The Ministry of Health, The Ministry of Information, The Ministry of Interior, The Public Authority for Disability Affairs, Kuwait University, The Ministry of Education, The Ministry of Social Affairs, Youth Public Authority, Union of Consumer Cooperative Society, and Kuwait Public Transport Company. As for the private sector, 10 private sector facilities attended which were: Australian College of Kuwait, Kuwait International Law School, National Bank of Kuwait, Al Raya Center, Boulevard Complex, The Avenues Mall, The Gate Mall, Alia International Hospital, Slayil Al Jahra Complex, Kuwait Investment Company. The contribution of Alia International Hospital - Symbol of Care - located in Mahboula, as a medical sponsor for the awareness press conference in line of the COVID 19 pandemic.

Under the slogan (I have the right to play and have fun), on January 15 of each year with the Innova International English School. This day targets gulf children. The importance of children's rights in terms of health, culture and education is also highlighted. Alia International Hospital cooperate with Nova School to invite the students of the school to the hospital to celebrate this day. Its began by teaching them the basics of preventing corona virus with the nurses of Alia International Hospital, the correct way to sterilize and clean hands, and the recommended distance for physical distance between them and others to reduce transmission of infection, and the nursing staff given the students advised them about the most important foods that they must eat to strengthen their bodies and immunity To enjoy good health. After that, the students were taken to visit some of the departments of the hospital, first they visited the ophthalmology department and the ear, nose and throat department on the first floor of the outpatient building, and then they went to the Department of Dental Medicine on the sixth floor, and they had an experience Eye examination, ear, nose and throat examination and dental examinations with clinicians. After the tour was completed, medical reports and recommendations were given about the students’ health status to be given to parents to take care of their children’s health and take the necessary medical procedures.

As part of Alia International Hospital breast cancer awareness campaign for the month of October 2022, AIH participated in the press conference to announce the launch of the “CAN’s” National Campaign for Cancer Awareness this year under the title “Your Health is a Crown” sponsored by the Minister of Health, Dr. Khaled Al-Saeed in Kuwait Towers. In the press conference, the chairman of the campaign board, Dr. Khaled Al-Saleh, supported the mothers and women about the self-examination test, which proved its importance for early detection of tumors, pointing out that early diagnosis saves life, and explained that breast cancer the most common among women and one of the curable cancers if it was discovered in its early stages. Board member and campaign leader Dr. Hessa Al-Shaheen pointed out during the conference about importance of spreading health awareness, supporting the health aspect of women. and how important is it for women to do a self-examination every month in addition to a mammogram once a year. The participation of Alia International Hospital came with the aim of enhancing cooperation and increasing health awareness. A booth was prepared to educate how to do the early examination during the month of October and we’ll cover many places such as universities, schools and malls, to spread of breast cancer awareness among members of society.

Throughout October 2025, Alia International Hospital led a Breast Cancer Awareness campaign across multiple locations, including malls and institutions. The initiative, that has been going on presented and organized by Alia Hospital for 4 consecutive years, focused on education, early detection, and community engagement, reinforcing the importance of awareness and preventive care.

In October 2024, Alia International Hospital achieved accreditation from Joint Commission International (JCI), a globally recognized organization based in the United States. In January 2025, Alia International Hospital relocated its Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Clinic to the new hospital building as part of its ongoing expansion. The upgraded clinic is equipped with the latest advanced devices, enhancing recovery programs, mobility support, and overall patient outcomes. This move reflects Alia’s commitment to continuous improvement and phased development across its facilities.

Alia International Hospital, and in coordination with Kuwait Blood Bank, hosted a Blood Donation Day in July 2025 at the hospital’s main lobby. The initiative brought together staff, visitors, and community members in support of a life-saving cause and reinforced the hospital’s commitment to social responsibility.
